Classical Revolution brings spontaneous live chamber music to casual venues where audience members can socialize, listen, applaud, have a drink, relax, and have a good time!  We want our audience to feel comfortable and welcomed by the intimate and relaxed atmosphere; we then shed the baggage this sort of music typically carries and make it accessible to the masses.  There is no dress code, no rules, and no tickets necessary at our events; the mood can be easily tailored to fit anything from cafes and museums to bars and department stores.

Our players are both professional and accomplished amateur musicians. We present performances by our core members and also local guest artists like the The Brandy TrioOssoGenghis Barbie, and The Saxaphone Cartel.  CRNYC also hosts unique, spontaneous “classical jam sessions” – any musician can bring their instruments and read chamber music with other musicians that they just met!  We offer new performance opportunities, not only by inspiring professional musicians with our unique style of presentation, but also by giving amateur musicians a chance to showcase their musical skills among those with common interests and support.

CRNYC is part of the growing international Classical Revolution network.  Begun five years ago in San Francisco by Charith Premawardhana, this movement has spread to other cities throughout the world including Berlin, London, Montreal, Melbourne as well as Chicago, Washington DC and other U.S. cities.
